Product Overview
Precision signal conditioning in a single chip
The CDI12100 integrates 12 independent signal conditioning channels, each composed of a low-noise programmable-gain amplifier, a synchronous phase detector, and a bandwidth-programmable filter. An on-chip carrier generation block outputs a CLK/128 signal to drive the excitation source directly, eliminating the need for external signal generation in inductive sensing systems.
The device accepts both internal and external rectified reference signals, making it compatible with a wide range of sensor topologies. Tight filter-to-filter matching across all 12 channels (<1%) ensures consistent amplitude and phase response in multi-axis and detector array applications — a critical requirement in medical imaging and precision industrial sensing.
Available in a compact 48-pin 6×6 mm QFN package, the CDI12100 is optimized for space-constrained PCB designs while maintaining full ±10 V supply compatibility for demanding signal levels.

Target Application Areas
The CDI12100's combination of built-in synchronous phase detection, wide programmable gain, and tight multi-channel filter matching makes it well-suited for demanding sensor readout across several high-reliability industries.
Medical Imaging & Detector Readout
Simultaneous readout of 12 sensor channels supports radiation detector arrays, multi-element ultrasonic front-ends, and physiological multi-channel sensing systems. Uniform channel response is critical for image reconstruction accuracy.
Inductive & Eddy-Current Sensing
The synchronous phase detector and programmable gain are ideally suited for inductive displacement sensors, eddy-current non-destructive testing arrays, and non-contact position encoders in industrial automation and quality control systems.
Multi-Axis Position & Resolver Sensing
Tight filter matching across all 12 channels ensures consistent amplitude and phase response in multi-axis resolver systems, robotic joint position sensing, and precision feedback loops where inter-channel symmetry directly affects accuracy.
Functional Block Diagram
Each of the 12 channels follows an identical signal path: sensor input → programmable gain amplifier → synchronous phase detector/rectifier → bandwidth-programmable filter → multiplexed output. A shared control logic and clock generation block manages channel programming via SPI and provides the CLK/128 excitation carrier output.
